2016

2016Solar YYC is founded

Alex Tyndale starts SolarYYC with a staff of 1 (himself) and works hard to land their first client.

April 2022100th Install

Solar YYC moves into 6,000 sq. ft warehouse. Complete our 100th install in August 2022, move up to a staff of 25. Partnered with iCan for Kids.

2024Record Year

Expanded into a second office/warehouse. 1500+ installs. Staff grows to 73. 715 completed projects in one year. Ranked #1 for completed permits in Calgary.

2026SOLAR YEG & 10 Years in Business

Solar YYC expands into Central Alberta, launching SOLAR YEG to serve Edmonton and surrounding communities. The company also proudly celebrates its 10-year anniversary with the installation of a stunning south-facing solar awning at its Calgary office.

The install went very smoothly/quickly. The documents they send after the install cover all the things you should do to save the most $$. If I had more houses I’d get them to install again.

I wanted to also get a sub panel installed in my garage and they were willing to send out an electrician to inspect my existing conduit to make sure I didn’t need additional trenching.
